We have long known how lucky we are to live where the air is fresh, the water is clear, and solitude is abundant. As our town living friends reminded us of this, the vision for Fallow Ridge Retreat began to evolve.
Your hosts
We are David and Sarah Smith, owners, and operators of Mt Watkins Farm in the hills of Eastern Otago. Along with our 3 sons we have been farming sheep and beef on our little slice of paradise since 2006 and now invite you to share a piece with us at Fallow Ridge Retreat.
Working the land has always been our passion, David having worked in North Otago and Omarama before taking on his own farm, and Sarah grew up on this very patch before going to university and travelling. She later returned to marry the farmer who lived there, and together we have continued to progress and develop Mt Watkins. The Fallow Ridge Retreat seed got sown in that progress some time ago and we are now ready to share it with you.
